Life Transitions - Personal Coaching

Why invest in coaching?

Life throws us curve balls. It's not always easy to figure out your next move...
The fact that you found this website tells me that you're tired of falling victim to circumstance, and you've made the decision to initiate a change.
Good for you!  It is possible to improve your personal and/or professional situation, given the proper tools and support.

Here's the secret. You don't have to do it alone. Every successful person I know can name at least one coach or mentor to whom they credit much of their success. There's no shame in not knowing everything. Nobody does.

Personal coaching is right for you if you're ready for a change, but...

~ You have no clear idea of what you want ~

~ You need some emotional support to give you courage ~

~ You're discouraged by past failed attempts to reach your goals ~

~ You're not sure how to go about making the change(s) ~

~ You're attempting to navigate a new transitional situation ~

Your future will depend on your actions (or lack of action) starting today. Do you continue along the path you're on, hoping for the best?
Or do you make the conscious decision to do what it takes to make this one life the best that it can be?

Next year will come and go...where will you be?

What you can expect...

Unbiased perspective - A neutral, confidential sounding board who challenges you to look at options and opportunities you may be missing

Clearer goals and boundaries - Accountability with compassion; Help to sort your priorities and set limits that protect your time and energy

Greater self awareness/EQ - Gain insight into your typical patterns, triggers, and strengths so you can respond intentionally rather than reacting

More confidence and resilience - Acquire tools to build a new mindset and create new habits - to handle setbacks and keep moving forward

Improved communication - Practice sharing your thoughts, having “hard” conversations, asking for what you need, and resolving conflict

Stronger follow through - Help in building systems and routines that make progress more consistent, rather than simply relying on motivation

What's the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating emotional distress, mental health conditions, and deeper underlying patterns, including past experiences and trauma. Coaching is more forward-focused, providing emotional support while helping individuals to set goals, build plans, and stay accountable - to support lasting change.
(Coaching services are not currently covered by health insurance.)

Why virtual?
Virtual sessions are easier to access and simpler to sustain. You can meet from anywhere - home, office, while traveling, etc....with no commute, traffic, childcare coordination, parking or weather-related concerns. There are fewer scheduling barriers, so you can stay consistent...and the convenience and flexibility of video and/or phone sessions allow you to stay on track, even when life gets busy!

Testimonials

"I went through a long and agonizing separation and divorce with my husband of 17 years. I have a complex family dynamic that played a role in further complicating the divorce process. I was feeling desperate and confused, with a tremendous amount of sadness, hurt, guilt and anger when I started…almost more than I could endure. Kim gave me tools in which to manage my mental state and slowly heal my inner wounds. She helped me cope with my emotional turmoil, and coached me on helping my children deal with their distress over our divorce. Since then, I’ve been able to move forward into a happier, healthier relationship!" ~ H.M.

"Thank you, Kim!" With your help, I was able to better direct my efforts and implement a unique, effective marketing plan for my business. As a result, I've seen a significant increase in my client base in a short amount of time!" ~ R.A.

"I am a woman in her 30's who was feeling a little lost having reached most of my goals in life. I thought that I had it all and was waiting for the feeling of satisfaction to set in. It did not. Instead, I became overwhelmed by so many thoughts. There were so many things I wanted to do and felt that I should do. I was so confused. Not wanting to wait any longer for the answers to drop out of the sky, I decided to seek the advice of an expert. I was looking for a life coach who was approachable, had convenient times and who could tell me in a structured way, how to deal with these thoughts and feelings. When I met Kim, I knew immediately she fit the bill for what I was looking for. I felt comfortable, at ease, but most of all understood! My life has turned around and I feel excited and not dreadful about my future! Thank you, Kim!" ~ T.J.
